Thanks for that information John. I will add it to my notes about the story. I try to check out all the facts, but this one slipped by me. I rely on the readers to correct me. A former employee of JB Industries thought they were the only people in there.

This is such a beautiful article and tribute to a great man. Thank you so much for writing it. I knew Dick Young and knew of some of the wonderful things he was responsible for. But, he was so modest that he never talked about himself. He was one of the finest men we could have the privilege to know. He left a lasting legacy that will benefit all of us and our future generations forever.

Matt -- The Montgomery Historical Preservation Commission has contacted a group of Civil War reenacters who are planning an event for Montgomery Days in August. Look for them to set up on the East side of the River -- possibly at Austin Park if the proper arrangements can be worked out. So far the prospects look good for this event. Pat T.
