VFW Post 7452, Neighbor

On May 25th, 1946 forty-two veterans of WWII formed the Montgomery Memorial Post 7452 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Today there are over six hundred members along with one hundred eighty members of its Ladies Auxiliary. The post home is located along the Fox River at 121 North River Street in downtown Montgomery, Illinois. The purpose and the objectives of the organization are to assist fellow veterans, their widows and widowers, and their orphans; to perpetuate the memory and history of fallen veterans; to foster patriotism; and to preserve and defend the ideals and freedoms inherent to the foundation of this nation.
