A release date of next summer may be months away, but producers of the Superman Man of Steel film shot around Kendall County in the summer of 2011 have released another trailer hyping the film. In this 2:33 minute clip you may see a couple local spots used for the filming and nearly all of the star-studded cast who were also seen in the area, including Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. Click here to view on your mobile device. According to film site IMDb.com, the estimated budget for the movie is $225 million. It is set to be released June 14. The Summer of Superman is wrapping up. To celebrate, we’ve brought in Patch troubadour Kevin Trudo, and asked him to do a special installment of Kevin Sings the News. If you’re not familiar with our weekly Kevin Sings the News feature, well, it’s like this. Every Friday, local musician extraordinaire Kevin Trudo writes and sings a song based on the last seven days of Patch headlines. (Here is the latest.)
