Omar Gonzalez, 28, of El Paso, Texas was not charged in any local incidents.
A 28-year-old man from El Paso, Texas was arrested Monday, Dec. 3 and found with three outstanding warrants, one of which was for the sexual assault of a child, said Oswego police. Omar Gonazlez, 28, was arrested at 9:11 p.m. in the 2700 block of Route 34. Police had received a call of a suspicious person selling speakers in the parking lot of a business in the 2700 block of Route 34. Upon making contact, police discovered the warrants against Gonzalez. Gonazalez was not charged for any local crimes, police said. Gonazalez was brought to the Kendall County Jail where he will be extradited back to Texas.

The 33-year-old Sandwich woman accused of lying to police about being raped and held against her will outside Plano is scheduled to appear in court next month. Annette C. Brown was charged with three Class 4 felonies three days after telling Kendall County Sheriff's police Aug. 7 that a uniformed man in what appeared to be an unmarked police car pulled her over, pulled a gun on her and raped her in a nearby cornfield, authorities said. Police initially released a decription of the assailant only to announce within a matter of days that they did not believe he existed. She is accused of filing a false police report. The Kendall County Sheriff's Office provided the following news release: On August 16, 2012, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 19-year-old Yorkville man in the 600 block of Plum Street, Aurora, Illinois on a Kendall County warrant for criminal sexual assault, a class 1 felony with a bond of $200,000, 10%. The arrestee is Anthony D. Buchanan 19-years-old of the 1300 block of West Beecher Road, Yorkville, Illinois. This warrant was issued following an investigation conducted by Kendall County detectives for a criminal sexual assault that occurred on September 18, 2011. The victim was an eighteen year old female. The sexual assault occurred at the suspect’s residence in the 1300 block of West Beecher Road, Yorkville, IL.

The woman who told police a uniformed man raped her in a cornfield at gunpoint has been charged with filing a false police report, authorities said. Annette C. Brown, 33, of Sandwich, will be taken into custody with a bail of $10,000 when she finishes treatement at an area hospital, according to a news release from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office and the Kendall County State's Attorney's Office. A 33-year-old Sandwich woman was not raped at gunpoint by a police imposter, Kendall County Sheriff's Police announced on their Facebook page. "The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is cancelling the community alert concerning the reported police impersonator that allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on Griswold Springs Road in unincorporated Plano," the post stated. "The crime did not occur. The investigation into the incident will continue." Dale Fry was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison after being convicted last year of carrying on an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.
A former Oswego High School teacher convicted of sexually abusing a 17-year-old former student was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday. 16th Circuit Judge John Barsanti handed down the sentence, following Fry’s conviction in July of 2011, according to Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis. Fry, 57, of Woodridge, was originally charged with having sexual relations with a student while on school property in 2009, and was found guilty of two counts of aggravated sexual abuse and one count of criminal sexual assault. In addition to his five-year sentence, of which he must serve 85% before being considered for release, Fry was fined $1,165, Weis said. A Boulder Hill man charged with sexually abusing two teenagers while serving as a youth leader at a local church made his first court appearance on Monday. Kevin Freeman, 27, of the first block of Shermead Road in Boulder Hill, is accused of having sexual contact with two teens between the ages of 13 and 17, both of whom were in his care as a youth leader at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Boulder Hill, according to court records.
