Yorkville Area Sex Offender Broke Registration Rules: Sheriff

The 23-year-old allegedly did not update Kendall County Sheriff's police on his employment and school status, police said.

A 23-year-old Yorkville-area sex offender is facing new criminal charges for allegedly failing to tell police he had a new job and was attending school, police said. Thomas Binion, of the 9300 block of Route 34, Yorkville, was charged with two felony counts of violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, according to a news release from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested Monday; his bond is $30,000, which requires posting $3,000 to be released while the case is pending. Binion is required to register annually as a sexual predator, the news release states. Man Charged With Second Violation of Sex Offender Registry Act

Auroran Justino Bazan was convicted in 2003 of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a 10-year-old victim, and again last year of violating the Sex Offender Registry Act.

An Aurora man was charged this week with his second violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registry Act, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department. Justino Bazan, 43, of the 0-99 block of Gastville Road in Aurora, was convicted in 2003 of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim under 13, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry. The incident occurred in 2002, according to court records, when Bazan was 34 and the victim was 10 years old. He is listed as a sexual predator. As a consequence of his conviction, Bazan must register as a sex offender. Bazan pleaded guilty in December of last year of violating the Sex Offender Registry Act, according to court records.
