“Spies of the Civil War” Presentation at Montgomery Village Hall

This program is offered by the Village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program and is being sponsored by The Tillers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A free presentation on “Spies of the Civil War” will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Montgomery Village Hall. Jim Weren, a local artist and researcher on the Civil War, will present this entertaining and informative program. At the onset of the conflict, neither the North nor South was prepared to obtain the vital information it needed about its enemy. “Got the Dot?” Presentation at Montgomery Village Hall

This program is being offered by the village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from the village of Montgomery. A free presentation on Illinois’ “Got the Dot?” program will be offered at the Montgomery Village Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10. An officer from the Montgomery Police Department will explain this statewide initiative and how it could help save lives. Those who are willing to participate in the Yellow Dot Program fill out a medical card which must contain their photo, emergency contact information, the name of their personal physician, any medical conditions, a list of recent surgeries, any allergies and current medications being taken. After the card is filled out, participants place it in their glove box, and put a yellow dot sticker on the back window. …
