Parkway Tree Pruning Begins This Month

The pruning is being performed to improve the long-term health and appearance of the trees, as well as eliminate low hanging branches that may be hit by passing vehicles.

Editor's note: The following is information from the village of Montgomery. Montgomery Public Works Department officials will be conducting parkway tree pruning in the Fairfield Way and Foxmoor subdivisions, early February through mid-March. The pruning is being performed to improve the long-term health and appearance of the trees, as well as eliminate low hanging branches that may be hit by passing vehicles. Crews will be supervised by an Illinois Certified Arborist on staff with the department, and will perform pruning operations to the latest national standards.
