Reports: Lawsuit Claims Mooseheart CEO Airey Sexually Abused Boy in 1980

Court documents indicate Mooseheart CEO William Airey is being sued by a North Carolina doctor who claimed Airey abused him in Ohio more than 30 years ago.

An Ohio doctor has filed a lawsuit against William Airey, the CEO of Moose International, claiming Airey sexually abused him in Ohio and Louisiana more than 30 years ago, when the physician was 12 years old, according to court documents and several media sources. The lawsuit further claims that Airey was twice investigated by Moose International for sexual misconduct—in 1996 and again in 2007—but the organization took no action. North Carolina physician Jason Peck filed the civil suit Thursday in Fort Hill, S.C., according to a story in the Chicago Sun-Times. I am a Moose member and want to know why this is being swept under the rug unlike the Penn State Jerry Sandusky? Sandusky was on the news 24/7. Fox News reported it one time and never heard about it again??!????!!!! I don't think any sexual predator should get special treatment in the news.   more ›

Moosehart Presentation at Montgomery Village Hall

The monthly Senior Lunch and activity will begin at 11:00 a.m. after the presentation.

A free presentation on the history of Moosehart and other interesting information about this facility will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Montgomery Village Hall. Bob Zininger from Moosehart will talk about how the school was founded and how it has grown over the years as well as services they provide to the children they serve. It’s a fascinating story as they prepare to celebrate their 100th anniversary next year. This program is being offered by the village of Montgomery as part of its Senior Citizen Program.
