The village will soon give you three different opportunities to help craft the look, feel and function of the new site, set to go live in December.
The village of Montgomery is poised to spend $14,357 revamping its website. And village leaders want your help to do it. At Tuesday night’s Committee of the Whole meeting, trustees gave the go-ahead to three different proposals to get resident input on the new website. The revamped site will be designed by Kansas-based company CivicPlus, and is scheduled to go live in December. Over the next few months, the village will give you plenty of opportunity to contribute. Village leaders will post a survey on the current village website, asking what features residents hope to see on the new site. They will hold a photo contest, asking people to send in their favorite Montgomery picture for use on the new site. And they will hold a community …

By the end of the year, the village of Montgomery will have a completely revamped website, one that will be easier and more interactive for residents. This new site will be designed by Kansas-based company CivicPlus, and will cost $14,357 – more than $3,000 above the initial estimate. But village officials believe the extra cost will be worth it, and trustees Monday night gave the contract their unanimous approval. Montgomery’s current website was created in 2003 and paid for with a Kane County Small Cities grant. Village officials initially set aside $2,000 for upgrades to the site in the 2012 budget, but after further consideration, decided to go for a full-blown redesign. NIU grad will coordinate human resources, report to village manager, village board.
The village of Montgomery has hired a new assistant to the village manager. Jamie Belongia replaces Mera Johnson, who left the village in November. Belongia is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Northern Illinois University. She spent two years as a management intern at the village of Downers Grove before moving on to Howard, Wisconsin, where she served as liaison to the environmental committee and provided staff assistance to the village board. Belongia was hired in January, but started work on Tuesday. Her job includes assisting with daily village operations, coordinating human resources for the village, and assisting with the budget, union negotiations and contracts. …

Andre thanks for clearing up at least the part of you can dispute and it may not be added to the bill. Ok now my next questions is. Say I get a bill with the fine added because I owe and my bill reflects it, but I only pay the water bill portion of the bill and still in the arrears for the fine. Does the city still come and turn off my water for non-payment even though I satisfied the water bill …   more ›
