Oswego Park Board Approves Several Projects for Prairie Point Community Park
A paved parking lot and new lighting are a few of the projects on tap.
Chances are, especially if you have a kid in baseball, softball or soccer, you’ve at some point made it out to Prairie Point Community Park in Oswego. The park, located between Grove and Plainfield roads near Prairie Point Elementary, is what Oswegoland Park District executive director Rich Zielke called the “crown jewel” of many of the parks dotting Oswego. And now the park is getting some improvements to make it even better. “There’s a lot of activity that can take place there,” said Zielke, citing the baseball and soccer fields, splash pad and skate park. “The programs that are using those ballfields are just growing and growing.” As such, the board approved in a vote 4-0 to award Oswego based Utility Dynamics Corp. a contract to …
