Dramatic Photos of Monday Night's Fatal I-88 Tanker Truck Crash

One person is killed and one person injured in a crash that remains under investigation by state police.

Illinois State Police report that one person was killed and one was injured in Monday night's dramatic I-88 tanker truck crash near Route 47. According to police and media reports, the crash took place around 8:14 p.m. Monday at the eastbound milepost 102 in DeKalb, closing the tollway in both directions. The driver of a passenger vehicle stopped on Route 47 without its lights on. A second passenger vehicle struck the rear of the first car, then spun to the left, where it was struck by the tanker truck. As photos show, the tanker truck was pushed on its side and was leaking ethanol. Hazmat units were called to the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was killed. Oswego Dad Delivers Breeched Baby on I-88

Baby is healthy thanks to Oswego dad Chad Martinez’s actions last Friday.

Oswego resident and mother Megan Martinez said she used to make fun of people who had babies en route to the hospital because she never understood how they couldn’t make it there in time. Then it happened to her. Martinez’s water broke around 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning, according to ABC 7 News, and soon her contractions were just a minute and a half apart. Martinez said her husband, Chad, an Illinois State Trooper, helped her to the car where they began their drive to their hospital in Downers Grove. “When we got to Naperville road and I-88, I told him that there's a foot hanging out, and he didn't believe me,” Martinez told ABC 7. “And I reached, and there were toes. And I'm like Chad, there are toes.” They pulled the car over on I-88 …
