West Aurora Wrestlers Fall at Team State Meet
Defending Class 3A state champion Minooka eliminated West wrestlers 35-24 in the Blackhawks' first quarterfinal appearance in program history Saturday morning.
BLOOMINGTON—West Aurora surprised defending Class 3A wrestling champion Minooka by claiming two of the first three weight classes. “We didn’t expect to lose at 171 and 189 pounds,” Minooka coach Bernie Ruettiger said.
