Yorkville police have released an image of the armed robbery suspect who robbed an Aldi cashier Thursday night. The suspect remains on the loose, Yorkville Deputy Police Chief Larry Hilt said Friday morning. "Our detectives are pouring over the evidence as we speak," he said. According to police about 7p.m. Thursday night a masked man clad in camouflage and wearing what officers initially described as a construction helmet walked into the Bridge Street Aldi and demanded money from the cashier. An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash from Yorkville's Aldi store, 1610 Bridge St., Thursday night, according to Yorkville police. A few minutes after 7 p.m. a masked man clad in camouflage clothing and construction hat demanded money from the lone cashier on duty. The perpetrator told the cashier he was armed, but did not display a weapon, Police Chief Richard Hart said Thursday night. "He walked in and walked right up to the cashier demanding money," Hart said. Hart said there were a number of witnesses to the incident, but said no one was hurt.
