Located on the far west side of Montgomery, Lakewood Creek is one of the newest schools in the Oswego Community Unit School District. Built in 2004, it hosts 844 students and is the district's largest elementary school. According to the Illinois State Board of Education, 84 percent of its students met or exceeded ISAT expectations in 2010. The principal is Dave Brusak.
