I ate there a couple months ago and loved the place and the food. The bar downstairs is my favorite area. It would be my go-to local place if I lived in the area. The food was some of the best I have ever had. I look forward going back the next time I am in town.

We went there today for Easter Brunch. What a beautiful place. The downstairs bar has big, comfortable couches and lots of cool tables and sitting areas. We can't wait to make this place a regular spot to go to unwind. The whole place has magnificent wood structures. The brunch was delicious. We would definitely like to go back to try the regular menu, try the comedy on a Tuesday night.
What a great spot! Uniquely positioned on the Fox, with a cozy bar, great beer and wine selection, and a unique menu to boot. We like the sandwiches, like the Hot Hero, although the burgers are excellent. Fish dishes are great and the chef really knows his beef... For St. Patrick's Day, they're planning live music which only makes it more of a no-brainer for this special occasion...
We have dined there several time. We love the side dish assortment, which are not the ordinary choices. I usually choose one of the fish option (and the newly added walleye is probably the best I have ever had) and my husband has had the pot roast and chicken pot pie. All of those were great. Once I had a cheeseburger which was just an average cheeseburger. The staff there is great and very friendly. We like to eat in the lower level bar area. Very relaxing and quiet with nice backround music. Give it a try.
My first experience was just ok so I decided to give it a second try since I felt it deserved a second chance. When I went for dinner it was with a friend who happens to be a vegetarian. This is definitely NOT the place to go for a meal if you are a vegetarian. Her options were: salad (which after mine & my husband's experiences with she wasn't too willing to try), grilled veggies, soup, or mashed potatoes. She ended up ordering the Mill salad with a different dressing & said it was fine. She ordered the sweet potato soup (which I have had & it's the one good thing there) & then an order of the mac & cheese. At the start of the meal my friend specifically asked the waitress what on the menu was vegetarian. When she ordered the mac & cheese the same waitress made NO mention that it included bacon. My poor friend had to sort through her meal to pick it all out since she was too embarrassed to send it back. After out meal we went to the bar downstairs for a drink & proceeded to be ignored for twenty minutes by the waitress & two bartenders. The waitress at one point came over to light our candle but never asked if we needed anything.
Finally had a chance to check out Gray's Mill. Stopped in for lunch on the weekend. Just like the others have commented, we ate in the cozy bar area. I thought the food was delicious and the portion size was just right. Looking forward to returning to try something else on the menu.
The downstairs bar area is one of the coziest most welcoming spots to spend some time with great friends. Rustic stone walls, roaring fireplace, comfy sofas, soft lighting ~ a wonderful spot to have a drink, talk, and enjoy great food.
Good, hearty food and really nice, romantic atmosphere, attentive service also. Love the downstairs bar area, really has an authentic, rustic, old world-ish feel.
A lovely restaurant in Montgomery, great selection of wines and a terrific menu of good old American Fare. These folks have done a great job putting together a quality place. I plan to return often!
Thank you for your kind words!

Finally a restaurant with real homemade tasty food. Went there Saturday night for dinner and the blackened walleye was the best I have ever had. So many wonderful things on the menu to try next time. Our server was Sheila and she was so helpful. She really cared and did not rush us. Will be back soon to try the Ribeye.
