Animal Control Names Volunteer of the Month

Kim Baird works with the largest and most exuberant dogs that are up for adoption.

is pleased to announce that their Volunteer of the Month Award for the month of August goes to Kim Baird.

Kim has been volunteering for Kendall County Animal Control (KCAC) since March 2012.  Kim is extremely dedicated and volunteers every Saturday and whenever she has a day off from work.  She spends quality time with the animals and will help with whatever is needed but she focuses most of her energy on the dogs that get overlooked or need the most work.

Kim is always up for a challenge and will exercise the largest and most exuberant dogs up for adoption.  They respond well to her and she works hard on teaching them manners and getting them ready for their forever homes.  In addition, she maintains relationships with many families that adopt the dogs she has worked with.  Kim helps with many of KCAC’s adoption events and she is also a licensed foster.

Kim resides in Oswego with her two cats, Chester and Indy, and her Boxer mix Sophie.

Congratulations Kim and thank you!
