Driving Montgomery: Your Picks for the Most Dangerous Intersections

We asked our readers to tell us what they consider the most dangerous intersections in Montgomery. Here's what they said.

We asked readers on Facebook this week to tell us the worst intersections in Montgomery.

With their comments, we started the above map that you can help us populate with your picks.

Several readers commented on the dangers at Orchard Road and Route 30. In fact, several accidents have occurred there in the past few years, including one that killed a teenager in May 2012

"I ride a motorcycle, come for a quick run with me. Route 30 and Orchard, especially heading south on Orchard and turning east onto 30 is downright ridiculous," said one poster.

Another poster said the intersection also needs more light at night.

Other posters commented on the intersection of Briarcliff and Fernwood, and yet another said she tries to never drive on Douglas Road.

"I honestly try to avoid Douglas Road all together if i can," she said.

How to add your own contribution to the map:

You can add locations to this map—and because Bolingbrook is a bike-friendly community, we'd like to open this up to areas that raise concern about bike safety, too. Simply click the "Add" button in the upper-right corner of the map and enter the location of the problem area and a description of the problem. You can also drag the marker directly onto the map if you are not sure how to describe the intersection.

Where else is of concern? Tell us in the comments below.
