"Blue moon. You saw me standing alone. Without a dream in my heart. Without a love of my own."

Grab your special someone and look up this Friday night for a real blue moon sighting. You could even put on that old Elvis 45 and crack open a Blue Moon beer—don't forget the orange.
But don't expect to see the color blue. A blue moon refers to the rarity of multiple full moons in a month or season. That's where the saying, once in a blue moon comes from.
Friday's full moon will be the second in August. The first took place on Aug. 1.
Two blue moons in a month typically occur every 2.7 years, according to the Huffington Post.
The last blue moon was on Dec. 31, 2009.
Best time to see the Blue Moon:
The moon will be at its fullest at 8:58 a.m. CST, according to the Farmers' Almanac.
