John, As an administrator in a nearby school district I understand the need to effect the least amount of students but clearly an error was made in the past regarding these middle school boundries (just look at the map). It sounds ridiculous to keep leaving it this way just because it effects less children. Fix it now so the future will be right. it is actually pretty cut and dry. This is the main problem in education the politics and personal agendas get in the way of common sense. The drive straight down route 30 from Lakewood Creek to briarcliff is much easier than winding through Oswego to Traughber. The drive from 31 to washington from the fox Chase area is also much quicker and easier to Traughber. The population differences would also be better for the district. It would lessen the impact on Traughber in the future. Also if the goal was truly effecting the least amount of children why would you move Morgans Crossing and Deerpath out of hunt club when no change is needed in that population area. You are taking more than 140 students out of a school with no true justified reason. So in fact you are effecting more students than needed.

They need to move Deerpath Trails and Morgan Crossing because it is not right that their friends and neighbors get to go to the school that is one mile away from all of them while they have to sit on a bus for an hour and a half away. Community schools not commuter schools!

An hour an a half away not quite. It is 4.5 miles away and takes around 15 minutes. I have driven it. Again we should be looking for whats best for the district and all the kids not our neighborhood.

An hour and a half to get to Hunt Club? Please. Are they taking a drive through the greater Fox Valley area and stopping somewhere for breakfast before they get there? Well, if MC and Deerpath Trails wanted overcrowded classrooms in their "community school", their wish may just come true. Congrats! Enjoy and good luck.

I just looked at the final map. NOT HAPPY! If I wanted my kids to go to Thompson I'd have bought a house in Boulder Hill!!! Will be fighting to stay at Traugher.
