Contacting Book Agents
Testing the waters with book agents...will one decide to pick me up as a client?
Self-publishing isn't easy.
I didn't think it was, but I didn't realize that I needed twelve arms and about five clones to do all the work. In my mind, the hardest part is marketing. Getting out there and actually advertising for The Delivery Girl, for me, is impossible. I'm not the person who has a lot of connections in all the right places.
On the other end, affording a billboard sign, making appearances for book readings or signing and any other high-end marketing is out of my reach so far, but I'm far from a quitter!

This week I did decide to test the waters. I have a query letter written to send to a few agents that I have found online or in the Writers Market book. It took me a long time to make the decision. See, I'm stubborn and wanted to be able to do this on my own. I'm not sure whether there is an agent out there that will pick up my book, but I'm going to give it a try.
I will keep you posted as agents get back to me, whether good news or bad!
