Village to Host Recycling Event This Weekend

Collection of appliances, metal, car fluids, batteries and all types of electronics and electrical items will be offered.

The will host a recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, in front of the Police Department at 10 Civic Center Ave.

On that day, collection of appliances, metal, car fluids, batteries and all types of electronics and electrical items will be offered.

All items that plug in will be accepted for recycling—including lamps, TVs, handheld mixers, computers, old phones, VCRs—and all other types of electronics and electrical items.  This special collection effort will allow these items to be recycled instead of depositing them in a landfill where they can contaminate the ground.  There is no charge to drop off these items.

This recycling event will not accept paint, flourescent lightbulbs or car tires.
