Village of Montgomery Announces Leaf Pick-Up Service

Leaf burning is prohibited by village ordinance.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from the village of Montgomery.

The village of Montgomery Public Works Department will be offering leaf pick-up service beginning Monday, Oct. 15, and running through mid-November.

Leaves must be neatly raked on the parkway along the curb by 7 a.m. Monday of each week. Leaf piles should not be placed in the street as they can clog sewer drains, and cannot include grass clippings or sticks. Leaves placed behind parked cars, mailboxes, refuse containers and other obstructions that block equipment access will not be collected.
