Village Hosts Concert in the Park, Line Dance Lessons

People of all ages are welcome.

Grab those cowboy boots and head on down to the at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, for some free line dance lessons and a special concert afterwards.

Professional instructor Cathy Vary will provide an hours’ worth of country dancin’ practice to anyone who wants to learn. People of all ages are welcome.  Cathy Vary gives beginner and intermediate lessons at Saddle Up & Dance Saloon in Aurora at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday. Country line dancing is easy and fun — and you don’t even need a partner.

An open air concert featuring country music by Smokin’ Gunz, a top 40 band voted best country rock band in 2011, will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the park. Smokin’ Gunz plays all the top country favorites, including oldies as well as current hits. They also write some original music based on personal experiences. Montgomery Park is located at the corner of River and Mill Street in Montgomery. Come early to learn a new step or two, then dance in the street during the concert!
