Trustees Hope TIF Options Cool Tempers: Report
A vote on a proposed 1000-acre TIF district along Orchard and Aucutt roads isn't expected until next month.
Montgomery officials hope some possible changes to a proposed TIF, including allowing property owners who object to drop out, could ease tension among residents, according to a report.
Village trustees and community members are mulling a proposed tax increment finance district for more than thousand acres along Orchard and Aucutt roads, Sun-Times Media reports. Residents who have been attending public hearings on the proposal spoke up about what impact the TIF could have on the village.
