Presidential Poll Results: Week Six

Here's how you voted in the sixth of our presidential polls.

The sixth week of our presidential poll experiment has come and gone. And though Mitt Romney keeps racking up the wins (since last week’s poll result, he took Arizona, Michigan, Wyoming and Washington), he can’t catch a break in our astonishingly unscientific poll.

We gathered 66 votes this time, and 23 of them went to Barack Obama. The president snuck by with a victory this time, with Ron Paul right on his heels with 22 votes. Paul won – the first time a Republican has taken the top honors – and nearly won this week’s as well.

Romney is down in third place with 14 votes, and he left his other challengers in the dust. Rick Santorum picked up only six votes, and Newt Gingrich only one.

Tomorrow, March 6, is Super Tuesday, a day with 10 primary elections and caucuses. This is the day Republicans have been waiting for, as a decisive victory in those contests (Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia) could determine a true front-runner.

Illinois’ presidential primary is on March 20, and we’ll post one of these polls once a week until then. Thanks for voting, and look for a new poll tomorrow.
