Patch Election Q&A: Josh Salisbury on Question #1

Josh Salisbury's answer to our first question.

The question:

Just about all the candidates so far have said Montgomery needs to raise more revenue. What are your specific ideas to accomplish this? And what are your ideas to reduce expenses? What, specifically, would you cut out of the current budget?

Josh's answer:

The way to raise more revenues to cut overhead costs, and not-needed programs like the (proposed) governance training for the trustees at a cost of $10,000.00. Another cost cut would be outsourcing the village human resources at a cost of $9,000.00. The way to raise more revenue is to bring more new business into the village. The more new business the more new tax dollars we can get for our community.
