Free Walking Tour of Historic Montgomery Set for June 21

 Members of the Historic Preservation Commission will offer a free walking tour of historic downtown Montgomery at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 21.

Commissioners will provide information about Gray’s Mill, the pop factory, Lyon Metal, Michaels Grocery Store, the Montgomery Methodist Church, the South Shore Inn and other historic buildings located on the block bounded by River, Mill, Main and Webster Streets.

Participants should meet at the Village Hall, 200 N. River Street, to begin the tour, which will last about one hour. Free refreshments will be provided after the tour, and Settler’s Cottage will be open for visitors.
