First-Day Filings for State House and Senate

With the first day of filing on Monday, the 2012 election season officially kicked off. We brought you local races yesterday, but here is a look at those candidates who filed for state senate and house races on the first day. Candidates have until Monday, Dec. 5, at 5 p.m. to file.

Included are all districts that touch on portions of Montgomery, Oswego and Yorkville. If you’re not sure which districts you’re in, check the State Board of Elections website. An (I) indicates that the candidate is an incumbent.
