“This was an incredibly difficult decision for myself and my family. While I would like to serve and have done so in various capacities in the district for the past 14 years, I was not able to make the important 4-year time commitment to serve as a Board of Education member, due to recent changes in my commitments,” said Ko in a statement.

“I most definitely intend to stay involved and support the academics in the District through my work on the District Teaching & Learning Committee, Parents And Community for Excellence parent organization, and through drawing on my 14 years of experience being a very involved member in the school district community.”
