Election 2011: East Aurora School Board

A look at the candidates for District 131's board of education.

We continue our coverage of the 2011 elections today with a look at the candidates for the East Aurora School Board.

Seven candidates are vying for four open seats—three four-year terms and one two-year term. Two incumbents (Raymond Hull and Mary Anne Turza) are running for re-election, but their fellow board members Juanita Wells and Dee Weaver have decided not to run.

The incumbents are joined by five challengers, including a 19-year-old recent graduate of East High (Ignacio “Nacho” Cervantes) and a longtime community activist (Mary Fultz).
