The filing period for municipal elections ended Dec. 26 for the April 9 election. Here's who filed for open elected positions on local governing boards, according to Kendall and Kane County election documents.

Montgomery Village Board
Open Seats:
Five candidates will be elected. The mayor, village clerk and three Montgomery trustee seats are up for election this year.
Candidates:
William C Keck Jr., Matthew Brolley and Thomas Campbell are all running to replace outgoing Village President Marilyn Michelini. Keck and Brolley both currently sit on the Montgomery Village Board.
Eight people filed to run for three trustee seats on the Montgomery Village Board. They are: Theresa Sperling, Steve Jungermann, Denny Lee (I), Colleen Nedrow, Gregory Nelson, Ben Brzoska, Joshua Salisbury and Andy Kaczmarek Jr. (I)
Incumbent Heidi Dziedzic is running unopposed for Village Clerk.
Oswego Community Unit School District 308

In Oswego School District 308 four candidates will be selected from a pool of six candidates. No incumbents are running, so the board will have lots of new faces. Those running include: Danielle Paul, Eva Powers, Matthew Bauman, Bradley Schultz, Michael G. McDowell and Gregory O'Neil. Candidate Jill Ko stepped out of the race, citing personal reasons.
West Aurora School District 129
