The 23-year-old allegedly did not update Kendall County Sheriff's police on his employment and school status, police said.

A 23-year-old Yorkville-area sex offender is facing new criminal charges for allegedly failing to tell police he had a new job and was attending school, police said.

He was arrested Monday; his bond is $30,000, which requires posting $3,000 to be released while the case is pending.

Binion is required to register annually as a sexual predator, the news release states. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registery, Binion was convicted of two counts of criminal sexual abuse in Kendall County involving incidents that happened when he was 20 and the victim was 16.

"An investigation revealed that Mr. Binion had obtained new employment and failed to register such within the required three days," the sheriff's news release states. "It was also discovered that Thomas Binion had been attending school since late 2011 without notifying the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office."

Binion also was convicted of failure to register as a sex offender in 2009, according to the news release.

This kid is a striaght up sexual predator. I know Tom and even since I've know him he has always had a passion for hanging out with little kids. No one who knows him is at all surprised by the charges that he has come across in his life. Lock up this sexual predator, and throw away the key!

Wrong is wrong. Know the law before you mess with an underage person, male or female. Even my 16 year old daughter knows if she fell "in love" with an 18 year old he could be the one in trouble if things went too far, same as if she was 18 and something happened with her and a 16 year old boy. The law is the law whether you agree with it or not and crossing the line can lead to a lifetime of consequences.

ummm....I care. Someone who did not learn from very serious consequences and does not follow through with the conditions of their freedom may well be a predator who is trying to hide their whereabouts. He is 23 now and not a kid by any means. He would not be in the news and not be in trouble now if he'd followed the conditions to which he AGREED.
