Woman Punches Store Employee; $4,100 in Decking Boards Stolen

Decking Boards Stolen from Business

Someone stole 65 decking boards from outside a business in the 1700 block of Albright Road between Oct. 5 and Oct. 14. The boards were valued at $4,100.

Patrice L. Jones, 26, of Chicago, was charged with battery and retail theft following an incident at a store in the 1500 block of Douglas Road. Police said Jones took $19 in merchandise and, when stopped trying to leave the store, punched an employee in the face. 

Business Burglarized

A business in the 1900 block of Hill Avenue was broken into overnight when someone broke the front glass door and gained entry. Nothing was reported missing. 

SATURDAY, OCT. 12

Retail Theft

Katherine Loucks, 45, of the 0-100 block of Foxhurst in Millbrook, was charged with retail theft. Police said she was seen taking $44 in merchandise from a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road.
