Woman Confronts Thief Who Stole Her Purse

Montgomery Police reports May 31 - June 2

Retail Theft


Aaron Heinrich, 22, of the 2300 block of Lakeshore Ct. Aurora, was charged with retail theft at about 11:45 a.m. May 31 after he concealed $100 in merchandise and left a store in the 1900 block of Douglas Road without paying, according to Montgomery Police.

Criminal Damage to Property


A landlord in the 2000 block of Emma reported former tenants had caused $9,700 in damages to the house they were renting sometime before 4:30 p.m. May 31, according to Montgomery Police. No other information was available on the damage.

Retail Theft


Dylan Wolgast, 19, of the 1000 block of Harmony Drive Montgomery, was charged with retail theft at about 7:30 p.m. June 1 after he concealed $51 in merchandise and left a store in the 1900 block of Douglas Road without paying, according to Montgomery Police.

Gang Graffiti


A Resident reported someone wrote gang graffiti on their front door in the 200 block of Fairwind Drive sometime before 7:35 p.m. June 1, according to Montgomery Police.

Warrant arrest


William Jackson, 21, of the 1700 block of Deer Run Drive, Montgomery, was charged on a Kendall County Obstructing Justice Warrant after police made contact with him on a traffic stop at about 9 p.m. June 1 near the intersection of Route 30 and Griffin, Montgomery Police reported.

Resisting arrest


Demis Vargas, 37, of the 2000 block of William Drive, Montgomery, was charged with obstructing a peace officer at about 11 p.m. June 1 after police responded to a loud music complaint in the 3000 block of Secretariat. While being taken into custody, Vargas tensed up and attempted to stop officers from handcuffing him, Montgomery Police said.

Theft


An employee of a retail store in the 200 block of Montgomery Road reported man stole her wallet from behind the register while he was in the service line at about 1 p.m. June 2. The woman followed him to a nearby gas station and confronted him about the theft. The suspect fled the area before police arrived. The wallet was found in the garbage in the restroom with $50 in cash missing.
