Woman Charged with DUI After Showing Up to Post Bond for Inmate: Sheriff

Sunday, June 9

Warrant

Gregory Esquivel, 39, of the 0-99 block of Codorus Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. at his residence and charged with a failure to appear warrant, said the Sheriff’s office.

Unlawful restraint, domestic battery, possession of drug paraphernalia

John Frank Vos, 34, of the 100 block of Appletree Court, Yorkville, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. at his residence and charged with unlawful restraint, domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to an incident at the Sunshine Motel and found the victim had been battered by her boyfriend, Vos, who fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival. He was apprehended later at his residence.

Battery

Joseph Lee Johnson, 39, of the 1100 block of Cornell Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. at his residence and charged with battery after a verbal altercation, including name calling, resulted in Johnson throwing a punch in the face of the victim, said the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, June 8

Unlawful consumption of alcohol

Dustin Lawrence Schmidt, 19, of the 900 block of Freeman Street, Plano, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Oswego, and charged for the unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, said the Sheriff’s office.

Driving with revoked license, warrant

Jesus Suarez, of the 3200 block of Spring Court, Naperville, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. at Douglas Road and Montgomery Road and charged for driving with a revoked license and a warrant out of DuPage County, said the Sheriff’s office.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred overnight in the 100 block of Bereman Road, Montgomery. $30 worth of landscape ornaments were damaged.

No valid driver’s license, curfew violation

A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. at Boulder Hill Pass and charged for driving without a valid license and curfew violation, said the Sheriff’s office.

Possession of drug paraphernalia, warrants

Eric John Seidelman, 34, of the 0-100 block of Rocky Way, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. at Circle Drive East and Greenbriar Road, Montgomery, and charged possession of drug paraphernalia and two warrants out of the Aurora Police Department – one for possession of cannabis and another for driving on a suspended license, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies made contact with Seidelman as he was walking on sidewalk near where a crime had recently occurred and asked if he had seen anyone in the area.

Speeding

Stephen Paul Marchio, 44, of the 21300 block of South Timber Trail, Shorewood, was arrested at 11:28 a.m. at Route 126 and Schlapp Road and charged with speeding over 40 miles above the posted speed limit, said the Sheriff’s office. He was found speeding 97 mph in a 55 mph zone.

No valid driver’s license

Hector Rodriguez, 32, of the 800 block of Preston Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. at Route 31 and Light Road and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Friday, June 7

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred between June 5 and June 7 at Long Beach Elementary School. An outside wall mounted fluorescent light and electrical outlet were reported broken.

Hit and run

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a hit and run traffic crash that occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on June 6 in the 0-99 block of Sonora Road, Montgomery. An unknown vehicle struck the driver’s side door of the victim’s vehicle. There are no suspects.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at 4:30 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, Montgomery. $500 in cash was removed from an unlocked vehicle.

Thursday, June 6

Speeding

Andrew Michael Abell, 19, of the 1800 block of Grandview Place, Montgomery, was arrested at Briarcliff and Turnbridge and charged for driving in excess of 30mph of the speed limit while in a construction zone, said the Sheriff’s office.

Criminal damage to property

Matthew Michael Grogan, 46, of the 0-99 block of Maple Street, Yorkville, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. and charged with criminal damage to property and causing a commotion for an incident in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass, said the Sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, June 5

Aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery

Michelle Lynn Parks, 45, of the 1700 block of Route 30, Aurora, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. in the 1700 block of Route 34, Aurora, and charged with domestic battery and battery after deputies received a report of a female out of control that had cut a male in the arm with a knife and the male was hiding in the bathroom, said the Sheriff’s office.

Illegal consumption of alcohol, curfew, driving with suspended license

Rodrigo Herera-Alvardo, 20, of the 3000 block of Middlebury Court, Aurora and a male juvenile, 15, were arrested at 11:16 p.m. at Orchard Road and Route 34, Oswego, said the Sheriff’s office. Herera-Alvarado, the driver, was charged with a lane usage violation and driving on a suspended license. The juvenile was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol and a curfew violation.

Criminal damage to property

The Sheriff’s office took a report for criminal damage to property in the 0-99 Chatham Place between 6 p.m. on June 4 and 6:36 p.m. on June 5. A screen door was damaged but there were no signs of burglary or attempted burglary to the residence.

Tuesday, June 4

DUI

June Marie Martinez, 29, of the 1300 block of Indian Trail, Aurora, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Cornell Lane, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, said the Sheriff’s office. She was arrested after she drove to the Public Safety Center to post bond for an inmate.

Warrant

Ryan Scott Craig, 29, of the 2000 block of Farmington Lakes Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. at his residence and charged with a warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear for a DUI case, said the Sheriff’s office.

No valid driver’s license

  • A male juvenile, 16, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. at Route 34 and Cherry Road, Oswego, and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Sheriff’s office as a result of a traffic stop.
  • A male juvenile, 17, was arrested at 3:42 a.m. at Route 34 and Lyncliff Drive and charged with driving without a valid license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and an unlawful number of passengers.

Identity theft

  • Sheriff’s deputies took a report for an identity theft that occurred on May 21 in the 0-100 block of Marnel Road, Montgomery. $200 was reportedly fraudulently charged to a credit card.
  • Sheriff’s deputies took a report for an identify theft that occurred on June 4 in the 0-99 block of Pembrooke Road, Montgomery. The victim’s debit card information had been fraudulently used at Walmart.com to purchase items ad ship them to Texas.

Monday, June 3

No valid driver’s license

Israel Leal, 22, of the 700 block of Columbia Street, Aurora, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. at Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for failing to signal when required.
