Two Boulder Hill Men Sentenced in March 2010 Robbery

Francisco Valles and Jose Aguiniga will serve prison time for robbing a man in Montgomery last year.

Two Boulder Hill men were sentenced to prison last week for an armed robbery that occurred in March of 2010, Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis announced Tuesday.

Kendall County Judge John Barsanti sentenced Francisco Valles, 28, of the 900 block of Edward Street, to 12 years in prison, and Jose Aguiniga, 21, of the 0-99 block of Whitney Way, to six years in prison. Aguiniga had agreed to cooperate with police on the investigation, Weis said.

In March of last year, the two men went to a home in Montgomery with the intention of robbing one of the occupants, Weis said. Valles pointed a gun at the occupant and demanded money, which he got. Several other items, including a computer, a stereo and several gaming systems, were also stolen, Weis said.

Valles and Aguiniga were charged after Aurora police apprehended them later that month. Kendall County Sheriff’s detectives then gathered enough evidence to charge them, Weis said.

Both Valles and Aguiniga have been in custody since March. After serving their prison terms, they will serve three years of mandatory supervision, Weis said.
