'Suspicious' Vehicle Driver Charged with Cocaine Possession: Cops

Sunday, Aug. 25

DUI

Timothy O. Skelly, 53, of the 2800 block of Breckenridge Lane, Naperville, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. in the 7600 block of Route 34, Yorkville, and charged with driving under the influence after deputies went to the driveway of the location for a well being check of a male subject that was not responding and seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, said the Sheriff’s office.

No valid driver’s license

Alejandro Davila-Estrela, 36, of the 1100 block of 5th Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 8:06 a.m. at Game Farm and Pleasure Road, Bristol, and charged for driving without a valid license after he was stopped for expired registration, said the Sheriff’s office.

Personal injury crash

Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident with injuries that occurred at 1:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Route 31. An individual participating in a motorcycle driver’s education class lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The victim was reported with injuries and transported to Rush Copley.

Saturday, Aug. 24

DUI

Mary Celine Bedke, 56, of the 1100 block of Hull Court, Aurora, was arrested at 2:31 a.m. at Route 34 and Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Sheriff’s office. She was also cited for driving with no rear registration light.

Warrant

Charles V. Bernhardt, 24, of the 1300 block of Sandhurst Drive, Sandwich, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. at Chatham and Marnel, Oswego, on four warrants, one out of Kendall for obstructing identification, one out of DeKalb for body writ and two out of LaSalle County for failure to appear for driving on a suspended license, said the Sheriff’s office.

Harassing phone calls

Sheriff’s deputies took a report of harassing phone calls that occurred at 6:57 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Gawne Lane, Bristol. The victim reported receiving harassing calls from an ex. Deputies made contact with the ex who said she would stop contacting the victim.

Assault

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported assault that occurred at 5 p.m. in the 7400 block of Galena Road, Bristol. Upon speaking with all parties involved, no complaints were signed.

Thursday, Aug. 22

Warrant

Mark Allen Franzen, 53, of the 0-99 block of Circle Drive West, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:07 a.m. at his residence on a warrant out of Kendall County for failure to appear for a DUI, said the Sheriff’s office.

Domestic battery, interfering with reporting of domestic battery

Christopher Charles Shilkaitis, 45, of the 0-99 Fernwood Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery and the unlawful interference of reporting the domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

Violation of an order of protection

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a violation of an order of protection that occurred at 6:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Harbor Drive, Oswego.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

Harassing text messages

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for harassing text messages the victim said came from a family member at 3:01 p.m.

Domestic battery, criminal damage to property

William Josephy Bobik, 22, of the 0-99 block of Surrey Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 10:40 p.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

Residential burglary

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a residential burglary that occurred between 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 20 and 7 p.m. on Aug. 21 in the 2100 block of Collins Road, Oswego. Electronics were reported missing from the residence.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

Felony possession of cocaine, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia, revoked license

Sergio Sandoval, 41, of the 2000 block of North Spalding, Chicago, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. in the 1400 block of East Beecher Road, Bristol, and charged with the felony possession of cocaine, the possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked license after deputies checked out a reported suspicious vehicle, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies found the vehicle sitting in front of a locked farm gate and found Sandoval to have been driving on a revoked license. Further investigation led to the finding of 1.2 grams of cannabis along with two scales. One scale had a powder substance that tested positive for cocaine.

Monday, Aug. 19

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a theft that occurred on Aug. 9 in the 100 block of Harbor Drive. 80 Oxycodone tablets were reported stolen.

Disorderly conduct

Rajiv Luke Raju, 56, of the 0-99 block of West Anchor Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. in the 0-99 block of West Anchor Drive and charged with disorderly conduct, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies went to the area for a disturbance and bound there was ongoing neighborhood trouble issue that escalated into a disorderly conduct situation involving a hockey stick.
