Monday, Sept. 9

Burglary

Montgomery police took a report for a burglary that occurred overnight in the1300 block of South Douglas road. The front window of a business was broken and several bottles of alcohol and cigarettes valued at $130 were stolen.

Chad Wilson, 33, of the 700 block of George Ave, Aurora, was arrested at 2 a.m. at Douglas Road and Monitor on two warrants, Kane County Sheriff’s Department for Contempt of Court and Kendall County Traffic Warrant, after police stopped a vehicle he was a passenger in, said Montgomery police.

Battery

Victim reported a person they know, and another unknown person, followed them home from a bar in Oswego around 2:25 a.m. in the 1300 block of Hinckley.  Both suspects began hitting the victim causing minor injuries and damages to the victim’s vehicle. The incident is still under investigation.

Retail theft

Montgomery police took a report for a retail theft that occurred at 7:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Montgomery Road. The offender concealed several items from a business and fled the store without paying.

Saturday, Sept. 7

Warrant

Katherine Barna, 31, of the 800 block of Main St. Yorkville, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at Douglas and Barbra Lane on a Kane County Sheriff’s Department Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Warrant after her vehicle was stopped by police, said Montgomery police.

Theft

Montgomery police took a report for theft that occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Mayfield. The victim reported leaving their iPad in a grocery store and when they returned it was missing.

Friday, Sept. 6

Burglary to motor vehicle

Montgomery police took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred in the 2100 block of Kathleen. The suspect broke out the passenger window and stole $1,200 worth of items that were inside the vehicle.

 

Any charges are merely an accusation and the defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
