Hit the lights

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a possible hit-and-run that occurred at 4 a.m. in the intersection of Route 31 and Caterpillar Drive. A vehicle may have struck a traffic light, knocking it into the intersection, police said.

Two 17-year-old boys, one from Aurora and one from Oswego, were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop for speeding at 11:41 p.m. on Winrock Road at Fernwood Road in Boulder Hill, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The driver was also charged with speeding and violating the zero tolerance law, police said.

Someone smashed out the rear window of a rented Fiat parked in the 0-99 block of Fernwood Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 5 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

Someone stole a flag from outside a home in the 0-99 block of Amesbury Road in Montgomery sometime before 6 a.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.
