Sheriff’s Blotter: Christmas Light Wire Cut For Third Time

Weekly police reports from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office; Dec. 1 – Dec. 9.

Sunday, Dec. 9

Warrant

  • Eugenio Limon, 29, of the 500 block of Michigan Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. at Route 34 and Countryside Parkway and charged with a failure to appear warrant out of DuPage County, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Limon was originally stopped for an equipment violation of no taillights.
  • A male juvenile, 17, of Yorkville, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. and charged with a no-bond juvenile warrant for a probation violation, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office. 

Domestic battery, possession of cannabis

David Wayne Hall, 50, of the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. at his residence and charged with domestic battery and the unlawful possession of cannabis, said the Kendall County Sheriff's office. 

 

Saturday, Dec. 8

Aggravated assault and battery

Kevon T. Burt-Craig, 21, of the 300 block of East Jackson Street, Joliet, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Wyndham Road, Montgomery, and charged with aggravated assault and battery, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

DUI

Amy Sue Unger, 50, of the 3000 block of Winchester Court, Aurora, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. at Route 34 and Orchard Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Friday, Dec. 7

DUI, possession of cannabis

Nicholas Alexander Allen Girup, 28, of the 1300 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 5:39 a.m. at Dolores Road and Laurie Lane, Oswego, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and the possession of cannabis, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Residential burglary

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported residential burglary that occurred between Nov. 10 and Dec. 7 in the 0-99 block of Circle Drive East, Oswego. An offender(s) entered through a window and damaged the inside of the house by smashing holes in the drywall.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred sometime in August at the Barber Green and Hunting Fishing Club, Bristol. The victim reported their boat, valued at $300, as stolen.

Failure to appear warrant

Jose Eduardo Ortega, 20, of the 200 block of Lasalle Street, Aurora, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. at Douglas and Old Post Road, Oswego, and charged with a failure to appear warrant out of Kane County, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of criminal damage to property that occurred between Dec. 6 at 9:00 p.m. and Dec. 6 at 11:45 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Timberview Lane, Bristol. The victim reported that someone had cut the wires on their exterior set of Christmas lights.  This is reportedly the third time this week this has occurred.

Thursday, Dec. 6

Domestic battery, aggravated assault and warrant

A male juvenile, 14, and Wendy Joy Rader, 42, of the 0-99 block of Seneca Drive, Montgomery, were arrested at 1:39 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Seneca Drive. The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault and domestic battery. Rader was charged with an outstanding warrant out of DeKalb for fraud, said the Kendall County sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Possession of cannabis, no valid driver’s license

A female juvenile, 17, of Oswego, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. at Route 31 and West Anchor Drive, Oswego and charged with possession of cannabis and driving without a valid license due to time restrictions, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. She was also cited for no front registration plate and no rear registration light.

Identity theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported identity theft that occurred between Oct. 1 and Dec. 5.

In-state warrant

Charles Virgil Bernhardt III, 23, of the 0-99 block of Pueblo Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. at his residence and charged with an in-state warrant out of Kendall County for criminal damage to property, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

No valid driver’s license

Reyna Evelin Serrano-Gomez, 32, of the 2700 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 4:05 a.m. at Route 31 and Baseline Road and charged for driving without a valid license, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. She was also charged with speeding 59 in a 45 mph zone and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Attempted criminal trespass to residence

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported attempted criminal trespass to residence that occurred at 1:00 p.m. in the 0-100 block of Gastville Street, Oswego.

Harassment through electronic means

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of harassment done through electronic means that occurred at 9:26 p.m. The victim reported receiving harassing phone calls and text messages.

Monday, Dec. 3

Possession of drug paraphernalia, cannabis

Jasen Owen Nelson, 27, of the 100 block of Kristine Street, Oswego, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. at Light and Anchor Road and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia and the possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Nelson was stopped for driving without a front plate.

Criminal damage to property

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a report of criminal damage to property that occurred 8:30 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Pueblo Road, Montgomery. The victim reported damage done to the house by a tenant, who struck the exterior of the residence with a spitting axe and then threw it into a glass patio table and shattered it. 

Sunday, Dec. 2

Burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported burglary to two motor vehicles that occurred at 9:45 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Bereman Road, Oswego. Cash, a Garmin GPS and a pair of Oakley sunglasses were removed from the two unlocked vehicles.

Criminal damage to property

  • Sheriff’s deputies are investigating criminal damage done to a vehicle that reportedly occurred between 5:00 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the 1900 block of Light Road.
  • Sheriff’s deputies are investigating criminal damage done to a residence that reportedly occurred between 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 7:40 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the 0-99 block of Sonora Drive, Montgomery. Holes were discovered in a residence window. 

Saturday, Dec. 1

Domestic battery

Joshua B. Miles, 21, of the 100 block of Longbeach, Montgomery, was arrested at 4:14 a.m. at Longbeacn and Springdale and charged with domestic battery, said the Kendall County Sheriff’s office. Deputies had responded to a reported disturbance and found that Miles had battered a family member.

I thought my Christmas light wires were cut 2 years ago. Then my family brought a cute bunny into our home, we soon learned that our wires were probably not cut. Bunnies like the BUZZ they get when they chew trough them
