Montgomery Man Charged in Sexual Assault: Police
Wilfredo Caban, 48, is charged in alleged August 2013 assault.
A man facing criminal sexual assault charges was taken into custody Friday at his workplace in Oswego, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Department.
Police said 48-year-old Wilfredo "Freddy" Caban, of the 50 block of Amesbury Road in unincorporated Montgomery, was charged Feb. 21 with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
According to police, the victim, a 36-year-old Montgomery woman, reported that she was sexually assaulted at Caban's home on Aug. 14, 2013.
Following an investigation by the sheriff's department, Caban was charged Feb. 21 with two counts of criminal sexual assault.
Police said Caban was taken into custody without incident on Feb. 28, while at his workplace in the 2700 block of Route 34 in Oswego.
Caban remains in custody at the Kendall County Corrections Center. His bond was set at $250,000.
