Prescription Pills, Jewelry Stolen in Residential Burglary: Sheriff

Friday, Jan. 24

DUI, hit and run, DWLR

Carleton Broad Thornton, 58, of the 1400 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested at 6:36 p.m. in the 1300 block of Light Road, Oswego and charged with driving under the influence, hit and run with vehicle damage and driving with a revoked license, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies went to the area for a report of a vehicle entering a parking lot and hitting two vehicles before parking. Contact was made with the driver, who was subsequently arrested and charged.

Thursday, Jan. 23

Battery

Ryan Scott Wilson, 27, of the 1500 block of Hollycrest, Aurora, was arrested at 9:45 a.m. in the 800 block of West John Street and charged with battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

Theft

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported theft that occurred between Jan. 13 and Jan. 14 in the 0-99 block of Riverside Drive, Yorkville. The victim reported that several packages that were delivered to the residence were not in the mailbox. The postal carrier confirmed that the packages had been delivered.

Warrant

Karen F. McClernon, 46, of the 300 block of East Fox, Yorkville, was arrestd at 7:54 p.m. at her residence on a warrant for criminal trespass and retail theft out of Kendall County, sad the Sheriff’s office.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

Driving with revoked license

Carlos Torres, 28, of the 0-100 block of Sherwood Drive, Oswego, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. at Douglas Road and Route 34 following a traffic stop for disobeying a traffic control device and charged for driving with a revoked license, said the Sheriff’s office.

No valid driver’s license

Maria Paulina Ramos-Rodriguez, 27, of the 100 block of West be Street, Plano, was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license following a traffic accident that occurred at 5:49 p.m. in the 900 block of Wolf Road. Ramos-Rodriguez was transported to Rush Copley for minor injuries, said the Sheriff’s office.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

Residential burglary

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a residential burglary that occurred around 4 p.m. in the 0-99 block of North Bereman, Oswego. Several pieces of jewelry, a laptop and prescription pills were reported taken. At this time there are no suspects.
