Police Seek Info on Sunday Morning Stabbings and Shooting

Two people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after a fight at a party on Raymond Drive escalated Sunday morning, police said. The incident is under investigation.

A large party on Raymond Drive in Montgomery got out of hand early Sunday morning, ending up with two people in the hospital with stab wounds, several shots fired, and police searching for information.

responded to the party in the 1300 block of Raymond Drive at 1:35 a.m. on Sunday. A fight inside the party had escalated, police said, and one attendee pulled out a knife and stabbed two people. The wounds were minor, police said, but both victims were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where they were treated and released.

Another person fired a gun several times into the air while in the street, and then fled the area, police said. No one was injured from the shooting, police said.

Police are seeking information on the two suspects. Anyone with info is asked to call Montgomery Police investigations at 630-897-8707, ext. 3300, or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at 630-892-1000. Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous, and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
