Theft from car

A GPS unit was reported stolen from a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of South River Street around 3 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Stolen jewelry

Someone broke into a home in the 0-99 block of Greenbriar Road in Boulder Hill around 8:20 a.m. and stole jewelry, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Break it up

No charges were filed in a three-person fight that broke out at a bar in the 300 block of North River Street at 10:35 p.m., Montgomery police said. The fight began as a verbal argument inside the bar, but turned physical when the three walked outside, police said. Two of the participants were injured, but refused medical treatment, according to police.

Three charged in tire theft

Three men were charged after police found them inside a home in the 2400 block of Roxbury Lane in Montgomery with a stolen spare tire at 2 a.m., Montgomery police said. Police received a call from a resident who saw the three men—Chase A. Malloe, 18, of Villa Park; Joshua Miles, 19, of the 100 block of Long Beach Drive in Boulder Hill; and Charles Bernhardt, 22, of the 2400 block of Roxbury Lane in Montgomery—remove the tire from the rear of a vehicle and then run into the house. All were charged with theft and criminal damage to property, police said, and Bernhardt was taken in on three DeKalb County warrants.

Dominick Lewis, 27, of the 1000 block of Harmony Drive in Montgomery, was charged with criminal trespassing after violating a prior warning not to enter a grocery store in the 1500 block of Douglas Road at 8 a.m., Montgomery police said.

Wednesday, April 27

Don’t call this yellow journalism

Jose Alatorre, 48, of the 2400 block of Roxbury Lane in Montgomery, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct after police saw him urinating on a sidewalk and appearing intoxicated in public at 3:25 p.m. in the 2300 block of Mayfield Drive, Montgomery police said.

Lock your doors, people

Someone entered an unlocked car parked in the 2700 block of Jenna Circle around 9 p.m. and stole a jacket and loose change, Montgomery police said.
