Shooting Lincoln

Someone fired orange paintballs at a 2000 Lincoln LS parked in a lot in the 2000 block of Orchard Road sometime before 7:45 a.m., Montgomery police said.

Double drug charge

Neil Fowler, 32, and Kurt Dillenurg, 52, both of the 0-99 block of Sonora Drive in Boulder Hill, were charged with possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at 1:55 a.m. at Douglas and Montgomery roads, Montgomery police said. Fowler, the driver, was also charged with driving under the influence, police said. Police initially stopped the car for parking in a fire lane, according to the police report.

Laptop taken

Someone stole a laptop computer from a locked home in the 0-99 block of Scarsdale Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 6:00 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Thursday, Sept. 8

Sex offender violation

James Schultz, 26, of the 2200 block of Margaret Drive, was charged at 11 a.m. with entering in violation of the sex offender registration act, Montgomery police said. Police recently discovered that Schultz, a registered child sex offender, lives closer than 500 feet to the school, according to Det. Sgt. Greg Sullivan. He was given 10 days to move, Sullivan said.

Schultz then entered the school to ask about the boundary lines, police said, and after school officials contacted police, he was arrested at his home. He was charged with presence within a school zone by a child sex offender, a class 4 felony, and his bond was set at $200,000, police said.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, Schultz was convicted of criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse for sexual contact that occurred eight years ago, when he was 18 and the victim was 14.

Car vs. baseball bat

Leesha Lee Kraus, 34, of the 0-99 block of Springdale Road in Boulder Hill, was charged with disorderly conduct after attacking a vehicle driven by a Florida woman with a baseball bat at 12:42 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The incident took place at Kraus’ home, police said.

Aggravated battery

Brittany Irvin, 20, of the 0-99 block of Pueblo Drive in Boulder Hill, was charged with aggravated battery after pushing an elderly family friend at 11:14 p.m. at her home, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. The friend had confronted Irvin over some stolen items, police said. Due to the advanced age of the victim, Irvin’s battery charge was upped to aggravated battery, police said.
