Mexican Spending Spree!

A financial identity theft was reported at 10:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of Patterson Road, police said, after someone used the victim's debit card to make an unauthorized purchase in Mexico.

A mail tampering incident was reported to police at 10:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Sherman Avenue after someone went through a resident's mail, police said.

Saturday, Dec. 24

They Were For You, Mom

Police said a 16-year-old female was arrested after concealing $58 in makeup and leaving the premises without paying at 1 p.m. at 1900 S. Douglas Road.

Not So Merry Christmas

Jonathon Sommer, 28, of the 700 block of Colorado St. in Marseilles, was charged with driving under the influence after police said they stopped his vehicle for failing to signal at 12:25 a.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road. A passenger was also arrested on a LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department traffic warrant, police said.

Stop, In The Name of the Law!

Justin Vahl, 28, of the 500 block of South Webster Street in Aurora, was charged with resisting a police officer after police said they tried to take him into custody during a traffic stop at 11:15 a.m. in the 400 block of Montgomery Road. Police stopped his vehicle for having suspended plates, and charged him with driving on a suspended license. Vahl was also wanted on a Chicago traffic warrant, police said.

Sunday, Dec. 25

A Christmas Surprise

Jessica Romualdo, of the 1000 block of Dearborn in Aurora, was charged with driving without a license after police stopped her vehicle at 12:50 a.m. at Hickory Ridge and Pine Ridge for having an expired registration sticker, police said. 

Too Young For That

Sergio Foster, 20, of the 1000 block of Golden Oaks Parkway in Aurora, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor after police said his vehicle was stopped for speeding in a construction zone at 2 a.m. at Orchard and Knell roads. Police said they learned Foster was under legal drinking age and he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

Are You Licensed For That?

David Martinez, 47, of the 300 block of Spencer Street in Aurora, was charged with driving with a revoked license after police said they stopped his vehicle at 6 p.m. at Montgomery and Douglas roads for having no headlights and one taillight. Police said he was charged with a class 4 felony for it, because it was his third violation.

Seriously. What’s Your Name?

Shirlene Dedmond, of Milwaukee, was charged with obstructing identification at 10 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Douglas Road after police said she gave a false name to avoid being arrested for a Will County Sheriff’s Department warrant.

Monday, Dec. 26

Sounds Fishy…

Andrew Tovar Jr. was arrested on a Kendall County Sheriff’s Department warrant related to driving under the influence, after police made contact with him following a suspicious person report at 10:55 a.m. on Broadway and Montgomery roads.
