Violating protection order

Paul Pinner, 44, of the 2700 block of Savoy Lane in Aurora, was charged with violating an order of protection after entering a home he was forbidden from going into at 3 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Hit tree, run away

The driver of an older-model dark-colored Chevy Malibu with one headlight fled the scene after striking a tree off of Simpson Road near Cambridge Lane at 8:30 p.m., Montgomery police said. The incident remains under investigation.

Drunken driving, part one

Toleado Castorena, 39, of the 400 block of Jackson Street in Aurora, was charged with felony drunken driving, obstructing identification, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving on a revoked license after a traffic stop on Melrose Avenue at Howell Place at 8:50 p.m., Montgomery police said. Castorena was initially stopped for driving in the wrong lane, police said, and felony charges were authorized based on three prior convictions for driving on a license revoked for drunken driving.

Drunken driving, part two

Donald Varnado, 60, of the 400 block of North River Street in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after he allegedly drove his car into a pole in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 1200 block of Ogden Avenue at 11:45 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Seeking ID of credit card thief

Montgomery police are seeking information on the identity of a woman who allegedly used someone else's credit card to buy gift cards at the Montgomery Walmart on Orchard Road.
