DUI with child on board

An Aurora woman was charged with three counts of felony drunken driving after a traffic stop at 11:35 p.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road, Montgomery police said. Barbara Cooper, 51, also was charged with endangering the life of a child after police found a 5 year old in the car with her, police said.

Saturday, Feb. 5

Drunken driving, stuck in snow

Marcus Payne, 20, of Oswego was charged with drunken driving after his vehicle got stuck in a snowbank at 1:10 a.m., Montgomery police said. Payne also was charged with driving on a suspended license, police said.

Friday, Feb. 4

Tossing marijuana out car window

Daniel T. Simmons, 35, of the 0-99 block of Marnel Road in Montgomery, was charged with possession of marijuana and cited for throwing that marijuana out of his car window while being pulled over at 4:53 p.m. at Marnel Road and Circle Drive East in Montgomery, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Bringing a knife to a coffee fight

Montgomery police are investigating an incident that occurred at 5:10 p.m. between two customers at a business in the 2000 block of Orchard Road. One customer confronted another over "a parking complaint," police said, and the two then threw coffee at each other’s vehicles. One of the two pulled a knife, police said, but then sped off when told that police were on their way.

Thursday, Feb. 3

Drunken driving, stuck in ditch

Charles Maurer, 31, of Montgomery, was charged with drunken driving after police found him inside his vehicle in a ditch by Orchard Road and Caterpillar Drive in Montgomery at 2:45 a.m., Montgomery police said.
