School defaced

The exterior of Long Beach Elementary School at 67 Long Beach Road in Boulder Hill was tagged with graffiti sometime overnight, Kendall County Sheriff's deputies said.

Precious metals

Someone stole the copper pipe from a vacant home in the 2200 block of Jason Drive in Montgomery around 10:30 a.m., Montgomery police said.

Sidewalk tagged

Someone spray-painted graffiti on a sidewalk outside a home in the 1700 block of Deer Run Drive in Montgomery around 4:20 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Friday, May 6

No turn signal leads to DUI

Hector Diaz, 41, of the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving at 1 a.m. on Douglas Road at Montgomery Road in Montgomery after officers stopped him for failing to use his turn signal, Montgomery police said. Diaz was also cited for not having proper insurance.

Leave those kids alone

Nora Thomas, 51, of the 600 block of Kimberly Drive in Montgomery, was charged with disorderly conduct after she “alarmed and disturbed” a resident and some children by “yelling at them and kicking a ball away from them” at 5 p.m. at her home, Montgomery police said.

Monday, May 2

Illegal entry

Someone entered a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 0-99 block of Greenfield Road in Boulder Hill sometime before 4:45 p.m., Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said. Nothing was stolen, according to police.
