Monday, July 4

Drugs and alcohol

Vanessa Morell, 18, of the 0-99 block of Lancaster Street in Aurora, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Broadway, Montgomery police said. She was also cited for improper display of a license plate and driving with no insurance, police said. Her two passengers, Myra Hernandez, 31, of Rural Street in Aurora, and Juan Velasquez, 22, of the 400 block of Downer Place in Aurora, were both charged with illegal transportation of alcohol after police found open bottles in the car, according to the report.

Patrick Fischer, 26, of the 900 block of Canyon Trail in Yorkville, was charged with drunken driving after police found him sleeping in his car at 2 a.m. at Montgomery Road and Hill Avenue, Montgomery police said. Fischer’s car was partially in the roadway, police said.

DUI leads to warrant arrests

Erin Johnson, 23, of the 0-99 block of Golden Larcy Court in Naperville, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 2 a.m. at Routes 30 and 31, Montgomery police said. Johnson was also wanted on two outstanding DuPage County warrants, for drunken driving and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Lock your doors, part one

Someone stole a wallet from an unlocked 1998 Ford Escort sometime before 7 a.m. in the 3000 block of Shetland Avenue, Montgomery police said.

Stealing away

Subrina Ojeda, 20, of the 1700 block of Light Road in Oswego, was charged with retail theft after employees at a store in the 1900 block of South Douglas Road saw her conceal items under her clothes and attempt to leave the store around 3:20 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Laptop taken

Someone broke into a home in the 200 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Boulder Hill sometime before 6:05 p.m. and stole a laptop computer, Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies said.

Lock your doors, part two

Someone stole a fanny pack and its contents from an unlocked 1992 Ford Econo van sometime before 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of Douglas Road, Montgomery police said.

Thursday, June 30

Hoop schemes

Someone stole a portable basketball stand from a driveway in the 800 block of 14th Avenue sometime before 3:30 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Found your bike

A white Mongoose BMX bicycle was discovered at a business in the 300 block of Montgomery Road sometime before 6 p.m., Montgomery police said.

Wednesday, June 29

More drunken driving

Nereida Nelson, 30, of the 2000 block of West Illinois Avenue in Aurora, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop at 10 p.m. at Routes 30 and 31, Montgomery police said. Nelson was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without a valid license, police said.
